When you are arranging a funeral the last thing you need is a venue that makes things complicated.
At the OSC Club in Old Swan we have hosted wakes for local families for over a hundred years, and we keep it simple: one phone call, one clear price and a room that is ready when you arrive.
You can have the Lounge for up to 65 guests or the Cabaret Room for up to 200.
Room hire is £50.
Our staff will lay the tables, put out photographs if you would like them displayed, serve tea and coffee and look after the bar, so you can be with your family rather than watching the clock.

We are on Derby Lane, just off Prescot Road and Queens Drive, which puts us around ten minutes from Anfield Crematorium and Cemetery and West Derby Cemetery, and a short drive from Springwood Crematorium and Allerton Cemetery. Local churches including St Oswald’s in Old Swan are minutes away.

Your Questions Answered
Room hire for a funeral reception is £50. Buffets and tea and coffee are priced separately. We will give you one clear price in writing.
No. Anyone can book a wake with us and all your guests are welcome whether or not they are members. Becoming a member does mean that you will benefit from our generous members drink prices on the day.
Usually the same day. Call us on 0151 280 5243 and we will check the date while you are on the phone. Funerals take priority in our diary.
Yes. We offer a traditional cold funeral tea from £7.75 per head or hot and cold buffets up to £10.75 per head, with tea and coffee packages available throughout.
The OSC Club is based at 73 Derby Lane, Old Swan. We are right in the heart of Liverpool and within 10 and 20 minutes of all the major Cemeteries and Crematoriums in the Liverpool area. We are 10 minutes drive from Anfield Cemetery and Crematorium and within 10-20 minutes drive of West Derby Cemetery, Everton Cemetery, Allerton Cemetery, Kirkdale Cemetery, Springwood Crematorium and Toxteth Cemetery. Yes. We have a free car park with 24-hour CCTV and there is free on-street parking around the club.
Yes. Both rooms have screens and we can display photographs or a slideshow and our staff will set it up before your guests arrive.
Yes. Both rooms are available for wakes on weekday afternoons, including Mondays when the club is otherwise closed.
